"Pearl of the Black Sea”, "Southern Palmyra", “Odessa-mama” – however you call it, it is one of the most colourful cities of Ukraine. Odessa is the third largest city of the country following Kiev and Kharkov, main culture, scientific and resort center of the Northern Black Sea region.

The city is situated on the North-West coast of the Black Sea, in the borderland between North and Central Europe to the Middle East and Asia. It was founded in 1794. Actually the history of Odessa is very rich, for a short period of time the city attained international fame, turned into one of the main traffic artery of the country. Resort Odessa is attracting more and more tourists and visitors year by year. Historical, architectural, cultural traditions of the city of Odessa represent a huge scientific material for researchers. Sometimes in the seaport you can see cruise liners, as large as five-floor houses – firm confirmation that history of the city of Odessa, its architectural and historical glory are known far beyond our country.

Streets of Odessa - walking on them, you will see absolutely other city. In each city there is the most original place. Such place in the city of Odessa is the Potemkin Stairs, some kind of entrance to the city from the sea.
